Visual Art was always a part of Nadia Belmat developement. She discoveded the power of observation at an early age, and quickly developed a passion for colors, shapes and numerous elements of design.
A native of Paris, France, Belmat Nadia's work has been influenced by many different cultures and communities from around the world. Also she has traveled extensively throughtout the Caribbean, Europe and the United States and encountered the many members of her family remain close the ones who impacted her most.With over 10 years of ceramic work, intensive classes, workshops multiple projects and collaborations with various artists Nadia has also been a support to her community by teaching art classes and summer youth programs for serval years in Atlanta, Geargia.
Ms Belmat elegant works have been displayed and appreciated internationally. Using the human figures and basic form as a vehicle to express quiet contemplation from the viewer, Nadia create an atmosphere that allow the viewer to awaken a sense of joy. Inspired by Cubism and primitive cultures, such as masks and ceremonial vessels all her original body of work will surprise you. Starting with block of clay, her sculptures sensibly transformed with various textures and finish Stimulate emotions, feelings and imagination.
